Timber

When 5-month-old German Shepherd Timber arrived from Mississippi in June 2023, TLC knew that he had a deformed front paw. However, at his orthopedic consultation with Metropolitan Vet, a possible previous hip injury was also detected, likely requiring surgery in the future to ensure his best possible quality of life.

Despite his challenges, Timber remained friendly, happy, playful, and endlessly sweet. While we knew there would be no shortage of adopters interested in this sweet shepherd, it would be even more important than ever to find just the perfect family for our boy.

Timber spent the next month meeting with potential adopters at events, showing off his friendly, sweet, and patient self as people approached for pets and smaller puppies jumped all over him (and sometimes put their faces right in his mouth!)  After almost 2 months, August finally brought Timber his perfect family and furever home!

Timber’s surgery will be covered by the money so many of you helped to raise for this pup in need. Because of your generous donations, Timber was able to be adopted with the certainty that he can settle into his furever home before surgery, recover in this same loving place, and spend the rest of his life pain-free in a place he can call home.

While we love Timber and are sad to see him go, we know that his lucky family will adore him and provide him with his best life as he prepares for and recovers from his future surgery. In the meantime, TLC will continue to support Timber and his new family as he continues his recovery.

Have the happiest life, sweet boy – you deserve the world.
