31 Mile Challenge for Mental Health Month

 

To Love a Canine Rescue (TLC) in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBS) are hosting a 31 Mile Challenge in May to raise awareness for a number of great causes. Our mission is to stride towards mental wellness while nurturing compassion and support for our communities. To Love a Canine Rescue (TLC) was born from our passion for saving dogs while educating the community, but it's our profound ability to unite people through their mutual love for dogs that continues to drive us forward. Teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence, a donor-supported organization that enriches, encourages, and empowers children to reach their highest potential through safe, one-to-one mentoring relationships, we aim to inspire resilience, cultivate empathy, and empower individuals to embark on a journey of self-care and community connection. By covering 31 miles over the course of the month, we symbolize the endurance required to overcome mental health challenges, and through our collective efforts, we strive to create a world where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.

A special guest will be joining us, so bring your dogs to get their picture with the Easter Bunny!

Our adoptables will be there until 1 pm but the Easter Bunny will stay until 2 pm

TLC Rescue will be participating in GivingTuesday, and we need your help! We have rescued 600+ dogs this year so far, and we want to tell you more about a particularly special dog named Mia. Stay tuned for more about her heartbreaking start moments away from being euthanized & journey to the life she deserves.
