We can always use your help!
Have you been looking for a way to give back that doesn’t cost anything? Well, friend… look no further! Apply to volunteer with TLC. As a volunteer, you’ll find plenty of ways to help with activities like…
Transports. You can receive dogs from their freedom rides. The best part? It’s a great way to get some puppy love and meet fellow volunteers! Dogs we rescue come from as far away as Mississippi. It takes about 18 hours to drive the dogs here and at the end of that ride, they are welcomed with smiles, open arms, snuggles and love. Did we mention free puppy love?
Meet & Greets and Community Events. You can help us show off our dogs at events like Meet & Greets at local pet stores, community days or even local schools. That’s right, we take dogs into schools to give kids some puppy play as a way to relieve some daily stress. We’ve even taken our dogs into local businesses. Now that you mention it… Do you have a school or business you’d like us to come to? Contact us to see if we can make it happen.
Fundraising Events. Do you have a knack for event organizing or party planning? You can help us plan and execute our biggest fundraising events including Miles for Mutts, Raffles for Ruffs, and Barko Bingo. Speaking of Miles for Mutts… our 5K Run/Fun Walk is happening again this October! You should totally check it out.
Service Hours. Do you have school aged children that need service hours? As volunteers, we can give them meaningful, helpful chores or tasks that they can do to get some of those community service hours. We even have a special name for our youth volunteers, the Mini Paws. Awww…
So if you (or your kids) have been looking for a rewarding opportunity to volunteer and give back, and you love dogs, then TLC could be the right fit! Learn more about volunteering for TLC here.
